Timetable improvements from Sunday 24th May 2026

From Sunday 24th May 2026, we're bringing you another round of timetable improvements to local bus services in North Norfolk. These improvements are being made to act upon customer feedback and meet changes in travel needs in our area, in particular catering for changing needs of students affected by the closure of Sheringham Sixth Form.
Many of these additional journeys have been funded by HM Government's Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP), in partnership with Norfolk County Council.
Improved connections for students affected by the planned closure of Sheringham Sixth Form
We have worked closely with local stakeholders to ensure our bus network meets the changing travel needs of local young people following the announcement that Sheringham Sixth Form will close at the end of the academic year. The journeys below will offer convenient travel to Reepham College and Fakenham Sixth Form:
A new 07:05 X44 journey from Cromer towards Holt. Students can either stay on the bus, which turns into a 9 and drops off at Fakenham Academy, or get off at Holt Market Place and change onto service 610 for Reepham College.
In the afternoons, students attending Fakenham Sixth Form can use the 15:30 9A back to Holt and Sheringham. Students attending Reepham College can use 610, which will drop off in Holt Market Place in time to change onto the 9A at 16:21 towards Holt.

Coasthopper CH1
Cromer | Sheringham | Wells-next-the-Sea
- Buses will now run every 30 minutes on our Summer timetable until 31st October 2026, filling existing gaps on the timetable.
- A new 07:01 journey from Cley-next-the-Sea to Wells-next-the-Sea is introduced running Monday to Friday, on school days offering a convenient connection onto service 26A towards Fakenham Academy.
- A new 16:41 journey from Sheringham to Cromer is introduced, connecting with the arriving service 9A from Fakenham.
Coasthopper CH2
North Walsham | Mundesley | Cromer
- New evening buses will be introduced on a trial basis, offering journeys from Cromer to North Walsham at 19:05 and 23:05, and North Walsham to Cromer at 17:35 and 22:07. These services have direct connections to new 55B journeys to and from Norwich City Centre.

Sheringham | Holt | Melton Constable | Fakenham
- Relaunched timetable with more frequent buses now running hourly Monday to Friday.
- New early morning journey from Holt to Sheringham at 06:11.
- New early morning journey from Sheringham to Fakenham at 06:31, with onward connection towards King's Lynn College of West Anglia on Lynx 49.
- New 07:21 journey (Starts in Cromer at 07:05 as X44) from Sheringham to Fakenham. This journey connects at Holt with school service 610 to Reepham High School and College.
- New earlier 07:15 journey from Fakenham to Sheringham.
- Improved more frequent Saturday timetable.

Cromer | Felbrigg Hall | Sheringham
- New 16:10 journey from Cromer (16:20 at Felbrigg Hall) offering a later return bus from Felbrigg Hall. Customers can travel on this bus to Sheringham for onward connections to Cromer, Holt and Wells-next-the-Sea

Holt | Sheringham | Cromer | Aylsham | Norwich
- New 07:05 journey from Cromer to Sheringham with direct connection onto service 9 for onward travel towards Holt and Fakenham.
- Improved more frequent Sunday timetable with a later journey returning to Norwich.
X55 55B
North Walsham | Coltishall | Spixworth (55B) | Norwich
- Improved evening timetable with additional 55B journeys. New evening journeys offer direct connections onto evening Coasthopper CH2 for onward travel towards Mundesley and Cromer.
- Minor timetable changes to morning peak time journey to address punctuality issues caused by congestion on the NDR junction at Spixworth.
