Frequently asked questions
Why does the offer not apply to teenagers aged 16-19? HM Government are only funding this offer for those aged 5 to 15 years old. Young people aged 16-19 can still get a great value single bus fare which remains capped at a maximum of £3.00.
How can I keep my child safe whilst travelling on the bus? We ask that parents encourage safe and appropriate use of the bus whilst this offer is in place. Please ensure your child knows where they are travelling and how to get home again - our new app is a great way to plan their journey and track buses in real time. It is kindly asked that parents encourage genuine use of the bus only and avoid allowing children to travel in excessively large groups.
How do I know where my child is if they are on the bus? We suggest, if available, using a 'share my location' feature on your mobile phone. Alternatively, you can use our new app to track all of our buses.
What happens if my child is refused free travel? As per our above terms and conditions, poor behaviour or repeated misuse of this offer may result in the offer being removed in full or part, which may include an individual being refused further free travel. Whilst they would still be welcome onboard, a standard fare will apply.
