Fares Review - 1st September 2026
Today
From 1st September 2026, a small review of bus fares will be made to reflect rising fuel and staffing costs.
What is changing:
- Single fares on school day only services will increase by 10p.
- Return fares on school day only services will increase by 20p.
- Weekly fares on school day only services will increase by £1.00.
- HM Government funded free fare scheme for 5-15 year olds ends Monday 31st August 2026.
What is not changing:
We are still committed to offering great value fares across our services. The following fantastic offers are still in place:
- HM Government funded £3.00 fare cap remains in place until 31st December 2026.
- Norfolk County Council 15% discount offer on all Weekly and Group tickets in place until 31st March 2027.
- Norfolk County Council funded £1.50 Great Yarmouth zone fare cap on services 6 and X6.
- £30.00 unlimited weekly travel when you use Tap on Tap off.

£2 Fare Cap from January 2027
It has recently been announced by the new Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, that a £2.00 bus fare cap will be introduced from 1st January 2027. It is our intention to be part of the scheme, however, we are awaiting full details of eligibility, terms and conditions to be announced. Please check back for further updates.
