Bus Service Operations for Christmas/New Year 2024/2025
Tuesday 24th December 2024-Wednesday 1st January 2025Christmas Eve Tuesday 24th December 2024 – Normal bus service until 8pm (no bus services after 8pm)
Christmas Day Wednesday 25th December 2024 – No bus services
Boxing Day Thursday 26th December 2024 – No bus services
Friday 27th December 2024 until Monday 30th December 2024 – Normal bus service
New Years Eve Tuesday 31st December 2024 - Normal bus service until 8pm (no bus services after 8pm)
New Years Day Wednesday 1st January 2025 – No bus services
Thursday 2nd January 2025 – Normal bus service resumes
Bus services for the Norwich City Football Club home game against Millwall on Boxing Day 26th December 2024, will operate as normal.
Please note that our CH1 Coasthopper Service between Cromer and Wells-Next-the-Sea operates on the hourly winter timetable from Friday 1st November 2024 until Thursday 1st May 2025.
Route 23 - Lyng & Elsing (Mill Street)
Friday 29th November-Friday 20th December 2024Due to a road closure in relation to ongoing windfarm cabling, we will be unable to serve Lyng and Elsing (Mill Street) during the above period.
We had initially agreed with construction contractors to allow the bus through the closure, but following ground surveys it has not been deemed safe to allow this to happen.
Konectbus 18 operates on Tuesday and Friday to Dereham from Lyng, on which days the local market is held. Times can be viewed at www.konectbus.co.uk.
Route 46 - Field Dalling
Monday 9th-Friday 20th December 2024Due to pathway and kerb repairs in Langham, buses will be unable to serve Field Dalling. The nearest alternative stops are at Langham or Binham.
Route 6/X6 & 34 - Stalham High Street
Monday 9th-Tuesday 10th December 2024Due to water meter repairs, Stalham High Street will be closed on above dates. Buses towards North Walsham (6/X6) will depart from the bus stop on Old Yarmouth Road at Millside. Buses towards Great Yarmouth will run as normal.
Please note that 34 journeys arriving into Stalham will operate to Stalham Tesco rather than the Old Rail Station.
Route 9 & 44 - Holt, Cromer Road
Monday 16th-Wednesday 18th December 2024Due to a UK Power Networks road closure on Cromer Road in Holt, please note that bus stops at High Kelling (NNR Station), Eccles Way, Gresham's School and Kelling Road cannot be served.
Please use either Holt Market Place or High Kelling Bus Stop (towards Sheringham only).
Due to this diversion, buses towards Fakenham (9) and Nightjar Road (44) will be departing from Feeneys Newsagent stop instead of the Bus Shelter. Buses towards Sheringham will depart as normal from outside EACH charity shop.
Route 54 & X55 - Peak time delays at Magdalen Gates
Monday 9th December 2024-Sunday 16th March 2025Due to the closure of Waterloo Road in Norwich to complete junction improvements, dispersed traffic using Magdalen Road and Constitution Hill is causing delays to routes 54 and X55 - particularly during morning and evening peak periods.
Roadworks at Waterloo Road are scheduled until Sunday 16th March 2025. It is advised that if you are travelling through weekday peak periods that you allow extra time for your travel, especially if you are heading to work or for an appointment.

Routes 15/16/17/18/19/20, CH1/CH2, 6A and X40/X41/X44/44A - Cromer Bus Station Refurbishment
Monday 13th January to Friday 7th March 2025Works at Cromer Bus Station are set to begin on Monday 13th January 2025 for eight weeks. The overall aim of the scheme is to build a Travel Hub that encourages sustainable travel and is accessible for all users. A new bus stop boarding area will be provided on the southern edge of the site providing much more waiting capacity. This will allow buses to align with the kerbs and allow passengers to embark and disembark more easily and safely.
During this time, our bus services in Cromer will depart from alternative stops which are listed below:
Coasthopper CH1 (towards Sheringham/Wells) – For the duration of the closure, buses will depart from Beach Road, beside Morrisons.
Coasthopper CH2 (towards Mundesley/North Walsham) – For the duration of the closure, buses will depart from Louden Road.
6A (towards North Walsham) – For the duration of the closure, buses will depart from Louden Road.
18 (to North Walsham) – For the duration of the closure, buses will depart from Beach Road, beside the coach park.
15/16/17/19/20 (towards Holt/Sheringham) – For the duration of the closure, buses will depart from Beach Road, beside the coach park.
X40/X41/X44/44A (towards Norwich) – During most of the closure, buses will depart from Beach Road, beside the coach park. However, from Monday 24th February to Monday 3rd March 2025 only, buses will depart from Cadogan Road as normal.
X40/X41/X44/44A (towards Sheringham) – For the duration of the closure, buses will depart from Beach Road, beside Morrisons.
Customers can still use conveniently located bus stops around the Town Centre at Westcliffe Avenue, Church Street, Louden Road, Halsey House and Overstrand Road as normal during these roadworks. We do advise that if you usually board at Cadogan Road or the Bus Station to check before you travel to ensure you move to the correct alternative stops.

Route 42/43/45A & Reepham High School Buses - Station Road, Reepham
Tuesday 10th-Friday 13th December 2024Due to an emergency road closure on Station Road in Reepham, 42/43/45A are unable to pick up from Station Road Car Park. Additionally, 45A cannot serve Reepham Market Place. Please use the bus stop at Co-Op.
Reepham High School buses 602, 607, 609 and 610 are following a lengthy and slow moving diversion around Reepham to access the school. We apologise in advance for any late arrival at school, or late drop offs at home.
