Minor Timetable Errors on X55 service

Fri 29th December - Thu 29th February 2024

The printed X55 timetable leaflets (Monday - Saturday) have the following 2 errors, the 08.50 from Norwich should be 15 minutes earlier at 08.35, and the 09.50 from Norwich should be 10 minutes later at 10.00.

The website and bus stop timetables are correct, it is only the (Monday - Saturday) printed timetable leaflets that have the errors.

Route 54 - Frettenham

Tuesday 2nd-Friday 17th May 2024

Due to works to install fibre broadband we will be unable to serve Frettenham (Court Hill, School Road, Post Office Road and Mill Road). Buses will operate along Buxton Road and pick up/drop off wherever safe and reasonable.

This closure has now been extended until Friday 17th May 2024.

Coasthopper CH1 & CH2 and Route 44A/X44 - Cromer, St Georges Day Parade

Saturday 27th April

Due to a 45 minute road closure for a St Georges Day Parade, buses in Cromer are significantly disrupted from 10:30 to 11:15. Please check carefully below for amended stopping places, only those journeys listed below are disrupted provided the times advertised on the closure are adhered to.

0937 X44 from Norwich will not serve stops at Cromer Bus Station, Westcliff Avenue or Clifton Park. Please use Beach Road, Morrisons.

0945 CH1 from Wells-next-the-sea will not serve stops at Clifton Park, Westcliff Avenue or Clifton Park. This service will terminate in Cromer opposite the Beach Road, Morrisons bus stop adjacent to the Fire Station.

0945 CH2 from North Walsham will terminate at Overstrand Road, Cliff Avenue. Bus stops at Louden Road and Cromer Bus Station will not be served.

1045 44A from Sheringham will not serve stops at Clifton Park, Westcliff Avenue, Cromer Bus Station, Church Street, Halsey House, Suffield Park, Mill Road, or Crossdale Street. Please use Beach Road, Morrisons bus stop adjacent to the Fire Station, where the service will depart from towards Norwich operating direct to Roughton, New Inn.

1053 CH2 from Cromer will commence from Overstrand Road, Cliff Avenue bus stop, omitting Cadogan Road (Bus Station) and Church Street. All other stops along Overstrand Road will not be served.

Coasthopper CH2 and Route 44A/X44 - The Norfolk Marathon

Sunday 28th April 2024

Due to a marathon setting off from Cromer which will be traversing parts of our bus network, there are changes and diversions to some of our services on Sunday 28th April 2024. Diversions below are listed by location.

Cromer, Overstrand Road
Coasthopper CH2 will not serve Overstrand Road all day. Buses will observe the bus stop on Norwich Road at Halsey House as an alternative.

Trunch, Gimingham, Mundesley
As the marathon passes through these areas, we will divert away from Trunch and Gimingham which also means we are unable to serve bus stops along Trunch Road in Mundesley. This will affect the 10:25, 11:25, 12:25 and 13:25 Coasthopper CH2 departures from North Walsham and the 10:42, 11:42 and 12:42 from Cromer.

Cromer, Mill Road/Station Road
As the marathon route finishes, runners will pass through the Suffield Park area of Cromer. All roads will remain open, but delays may be possible to Coasthopper CH2 and routes 44A/X44.

Route NC3/NC11 - Heartsease

Saturday 13th April-Saturday 13th May 2024

Due to ongoing road improvements at Heartsease Roundabout, football service NC3 and NC11 will be unable to serve bus stops beyond the Salhouse Road/Gurney Road junction at Mousehold. The last stop before Norwich City Football Ground will be Mousehold Lane at the Memorial Cottages.

Route 34/706/834 - Ostend

Wednesday 8th-Friday 10th May 2024

Due to electrical works in Ostend, buses will be unable to serve the bus shelter in the village. During this closure, all services will stop on the B1159 opposite (towards North Walsham) and adjacent to (towards Stalham) the Ostend road turn in Walcott.

Route 6A, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 79 - Felbrigg (B1436)

Monday 29th April to Friday 3rd May 2024

Due to a closure on the B1436 between Felbrigg and Roughton, there are significant diversions to services in this area during the above dates. We are thankful for Norfolk County Council and their contractors for allowing us access through some parts of the closures to ensure we can still provide services in the area.

6A - Buses will divert from Roughton to Cromer via the A140, A149 and Carr Lane which allows all stops to be served as normal.

15 (and 16/17/19/20) - For the duration of this closure, buses leaving Cromer will operate via A148 (Holt Road) in both directions. Church Street and Roughton Road cannot be served. On Monday 29th April only buses will be unable to serve Felbrigg Hall, but from Tuesday 30th April we will be allowed through the closure into the hall entrance.

18 - Buses will divert from Metton into Cromer via Roughton Road, being allowed to use a short section of the closed road. Unfortunately, Felbrigg village and Cromer Lidl/NNDC offices cannot be served

79 - This school bus will be allowed through the closure all weeks to ensure students can get home.

Route 28 - Fakenham, Sandy Lane

Thursday 25th April 2024

Due to resurfacing works, we are unable to serve Sandy Lane in Fakenham. Buses will operate via the A1065 and Wells Road (Toll Bar).
