VITALLY IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ
For travel in the UK cover is automatically available for stable pre-existing
condition(s) unless you answer 'Yes' to any of the first five questions following, in
which case no cover is available for any claim that is directly or indirectly linked to
the medical condition(s) which caused you to answer 'Yes'.
- Has anyone ever been diagnosed as suffering from stress, anxiety, depression or any
other psychiatric condition?
- Has anyone been given a terminal prognosis?
- Will anyone be more than 26 weeks pregnant by the time you return from your trip?
- Is anyone travelling or acting against medical advice?
- Is anyone on a waiting list for in-patient treatment, awaiting treatment or awaiting the
results of medical investigations or tests?
If you are holidaying in the Channel Islands, Eire or Europe it is also necessary to
consider the following two questions in 'respect of yourself, your travelling companions
or anyone else whose health would affect your holiday plans:
- Does anyone have any medical conditions that require ongoing medication?
- Has anyone been treated or investigated for any medical conditions during the last
twelve months?
To recap, if you can answer 'No' to all of the above-mentioned
questions, you have full cover and don't need to contact Travellers Protection Services.
If you answer 'Yes' to any of the first five questions, unfortunately there is no cover
available under the policy for the cause of your 'Yes' answer.
If you answer 'No' to the first five questions, but answer 'Yes' to the final two
questions, you do need to call Travellers Protection Services, who may be able to assist
you by tailoring the policy to suit your needs. Depending on the pre-existing conditions,
an additional premium may be payable.
For total peace of mind call Travellers Protection Services on 08707 744408.
The medical screening help line is operated by Travellers Protection Services.
