Austria is a firm favourite of our customers and the Tirol region of Pfunds is a very beautiful place. With an excursion to Switzerland, via the Bernina Express, and wine tasting in Italy it is sure to be a great holiday.

The Hotel
The Gasthof Zur Post is a traditional family run hotel, with indoor swimming pool, sauna, gardens and Cafe. All bedrooms are en-suite with television.

Itinerary
SUNDAY We leave our home area to make our way to Dover for our crossing to Calais and then on to our overnight hotel (Ibis Metz Nord (Woippy)).
MONDAY After an early breakfast we will continue our journey to Austria arriving at our hotel in time for dinner.
TUESDAY Enjoy a morning at leisure to relax and enjoy the facilities before an afternoon excursion along the Kaunertal Glacier Panoramic Road with photo stop at the Gepatsch Reservoir, the largest in Western Austria. This is a stunning excursion with impressive views.
WEDNESDAY The highlight of the tour is a trip on the famous Bernina Express train, Drive through the lower Engadine Valley to the world renowned resort of St. Moritz (Switzerland) where we will have some free time before continuing to Poschiavo to take the train to Pontresina (approx 1 !/2 hours). The ride takes us through part of one of the most beautiful railway routes in the world, over the Bernina Pass. After this wonderful journey we will return to the hotel by coach.
THURSDAY Today we drive through the Inn Valley via the Reschen Pass, a really spectacular drive along the sub-tropical Estch Valley with its vineyards, orchards and ruined castles. Continue over the border into Italy and the spa town of Merano. After some free time we will return to Pfunds stopping en-route for an included wine tasting at a vineyard near Merano and a ride on the Vinschgerbahn (wine train).
FRIDAY A half day excursion to Samnaun (which is only a short drive) for some duty free shopping, or stay in the resort for some sightseeing and shopping.
SATURDAY A full day excursion to Innsbruck the cultural and tourist capital of the Tirol. See the famous Bergisil ski jump, the Hofburg Palace, Goldenes Dachl (Little Golden Roof) and much more. Spend some time wandering the pedestrainised historic old town before we make the short drive to Wattens for a visit to the world famous Swarovski Crystal World.
SUNDAY We say farewell to Pfunds and start the journey home, we will be stopping at Woippy again for our overnight stop.
MONDAY We continue on our way to Calais for the short sea crossing and then on to our homes arriving late evening.
